I wanted to share this statement that I overheard someone mention in conversation last night.  This statement itself is so powerful because it addresses an issue that goes unaware. Yet we as individuals suffer the repercussions from its effects. Whether is is the soothing, comforting words of a friend or the hurtful words of a spouse or family member, what we allow to enter into our ear gate determines the direction and choices in our life.

Step Up Your Level of Influence…

“By this time you ought to be teachers yourselves, yet here I find you need someone to sit down with you and go over the basics on God again, starting from square one -baby’s milk, when you should have been on solid food long ago!”  Hebrews 5:12

My night devotional brought me to this verse.  For days this Word has been with me, reminding me of dreams and promises that were given to me.  How many times have we constantly found ourselves walking around the  foot of the same mountain … Missing God’s Perception of who we are?  Intaking everyone’s intake on life and our choices. ..Whatever happened to the power behind our very own voice? Does it not bear weight with those around us ?       Think of the areas and arenas in life you’ve been given access to, as well as the times and  opportunities to advance in these areas that have misused and blown.   stand out 3

Why see your uniqueness as a weakness?  When it has been established to be a strength.  Personally you would be amazed at the number of admirers that you have.  Some are transparent and then there are some who admire from a distance.  But one thing that we can be assured of is that whatever is drawing them is the Spirit of God on the inside of us.  With that it is up to us to carry our Scepter of Influence in whatever arena or place of influence God has given us and point others back to Him.you matter

You may begin strong.  But grace is needed in order to finish strong. Remember this as you begin your year that every runner begins with the idea of winning the race.  But the level of tension and pain experienced in the middle of the race determines if the runner will endure or will they bail out of the race.  Keep in mind that grace is the traveling companion that accompanies us each day.  It is the second wind that we need to reachendurance 1 our goals… to make a fresh start.  Use your God given tool wisely and remember to finish strong.

Random thought…Inner Circle

Morning thought. .. Have you ever considered the sources of your motivation? Yes sources. When it comes to motivation there are numerous factors involved.   What about your inner circle? Do their conversations add value and motivation to your dreams?

Meditate on this for a moment… “Blessed is the person who does not follow the advice of wicked people, take the path of sinners, or join the company of mockers.” Psalm 1:1

Why is this person called blessed?  Because they are mindful of who has access to their space. Consider this have you ever spoken to a friend and felt drained and discouraged afterwards?  Because with the counsel of good friends come strength and edification (building up).  Edification is not always a feel good experience.  But as iron sharpens iron so will a true friend or companion.  They will encourage us in ways that will cause us to acknowledge our purpose and pursue our dreams

My prayer for this day is that God will add people to my and your lives that will sharpen and motivate us to becoming who He intended for us to be.
